Home Remedies For Acne
Home
Remedies For Acne have been touted as a safe alternative to
conventional medicine by many people. The growing list of
personal endorsements is a sure sign people believe their
acne has been improved due to using home
remedies.
Although you should recognize the results of any one home
remedy can vary from person to person, you should not
discount the growing support for home remedies for
acne. With this
thought in mind, we have included a list of some of the more
popular home remedies. This list includes
items that are readily available and can be found at most
grocery stores.
However, before taking any of these home remedies be sure to
consult your doctor for possible food allergies and other
potential side effects.
1.
Use a raw potato to reduce
swelling.
By
using a raw potato, you can help reduce the swelling of
acne. This
works by simply cutting a section off a raw potato and
applying the newly cut portion to the affected
area. The
ingredients of the potato work to dry up the pimple and can
also help with acne scars.
2.
Use lemon juice to reduce
swelling.
Lemon
juice works in much the same way as white
toothpaste. By
simply applying a little juice to the affected area, you are
giving treatment. Once the juice dries, wash
the area off with warm water and your treatment is
complete.
3.
Apply a cucumber paste to help treat swelling and
prevent future acne breakouts.
A
cucumber paste can be applied in the same way you would
apply any cream to your face. By putting it in the
affected area, it will help clear up your skin by removing
any excess oils and helping treat existing
acne.
4.
Even mint leaves or strawberry leaves can help
treat acne.
The
leaves of these common foods can be used to reduce the
overall size of zits. This is yet another way to
reduce the impact of existing acne.
5.
Make a paste from orange peel and
water.
This is
fairly straight-forward in that you use an orange peel and
blend it with water to make a paste. This paste should be
applied to the affected area. Orange peels have been
known to help treat acne scars. For some, they have been
able to allow the scar to fade will having the skin revert
back to its natural pigment.
This
list is by no means exhaustive. There are dozens of other
herbs and foods that can be used to help treat
acne. The point
here is to merely illustrate that there is a large number of
home remedies for
acne to choose from. Your goal will be to look
at the various options and find one that best suits your
needs and medical history.
